So Many Uses for Pearl Ex
By June Campbell
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1KFGO5YUY6QCY This video shows how to make beautiful images using a rubber stamp, watermark ink and Pearl Ex powders. There are so many uses for Pearl Ex. If anyone is unfamiliar with this product, you owe it to yourself to check it out. You can use it in rubber stamping, as I show in the video, or you can use it in a multitude of other ways -- mix it with almost any medium then use it in bead making, in molded shapes with UTEE, for coloring Polymer clay shapes, pottery, clay, and many more. Pearl Ex pigments are pure color -- bright, clear and stunningly beautiful. I am trying to think of a negative aspect, but really, I can not. It is worth mentioning perhaps that Pearl Ex, being pure mica powder, has no "sticking agent" meaning it will not stick to your projects unless you have first mixed it with another medium.

Dazzling colors for Polymar Clay Artworks
By D. M. Brewer
I recently took a 4 day course in Polymar bead making. The instructor was selling this brand mica powder for $3.50 each. When brushed on polymar clay, they give a beautiful added dimension and really sparkle when the beads have been baked. The 32 pack is great because you have so many colors to choose from and the individual cost comes out to about $1.57 each. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Love PearlEx Powders!
By Cindy
I've been using PearlEx almost as long as I've been using polymer clay - the two go together so very well.

The colors range from "standard" metallic and pearl colors - creamy white, shimmery pewter, gold and silver, not to mention copper - and several shades of each, to wonderful "duo" colors like Duo Red/Blue which is just what it sounds like - in one light it looks red, in another you see shimmering blues and so on. Every color of the rainbow is represented in more than one way.

With polymer clay, applied before baking, the powder adheres rather well, although if the item is to be handled (as with jewelry) a final sealer is recommended.

Because they are a powder, they can be inhaled if you're not careful so if you're using them for more than just a quick application on a small piece, a mask is recommended.
