Ignore the instructions and follow these step. The difference between frustration and fun. LOVE these.

I have a lot of higher end RC heli’s and got these for the kids to play with. I was pleasantly surprised at how fun they are to fly. Once we got past the HIDEOUS instruction manual and figured out most of what they contain is WRONG, they are a blast. Nearly crash proof and fly very well even OUTDOORS in a light wind (in ‘high speed mode’). Like most of my Heli’s, they only fly for about 7 minutes before needing recharged, which is pretty NORMAL. My kids are 9 and 13 with a little previous heli experience and could fly them very easily. Actually, they are far easier to fly than the heli’s, can do more and are nearly crash-proof.
If you get these, IGNORE the instructions that come with them and follow these steps.
1. Charge the battery until the RED light in the USB cord turns OFF. NO LIGHT = CHARGED.
2. Transmitter OFF and throttle set to OFF (Left stick down).
3. --- THIS IS THE PART THAT REALLY MAKES THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FRUSTRATION AND FUN --- Connect the battery on the quad, then LEVEL the QUAD inside the cage and HOLD IT STILL.
4. CONTINUE holding the QUAD level inside the cage and turn the transmitter ON. Keep holding the QUAD still until the RED ‘EYES’ on the QUAD stop blinking and turn STEADY RED. The transmitter will BEEP BEFORE the QUAD is ready, ignore the BEEP and KEEP HOLDING the QUAD until the EYES change. Takes about 10 seconds.
5. The QUAD always powers up in LOW SPEED mode. Great for INSIDE.
6. To change to HIGH SPEED mode, press the SPEED button on the transmitter ONCE. The transmitter will BEEP TWICE to tell you it is in HIGH SPEED mode. To go back to LOW SPEED, press the SPEED button again and it will BEEP ONCE to signify LOW SPEED. HIGH SPEED actually allows the QUAD to fly pretty well outside in a LIGHT Wind.
7. The FLY / RUN button limits the throttle to a setting so low the QUAD cannot get airborne and only ‘RUNS’ around on the ground. Each time you power on the QUAD, it is in FLY mode by default. LEAVE the button alone, DO NOT TOUCH IT to stay in FLY mode.
8 Each time you turn off the transmitter or disconnect the QUAD battery (even for a second), you need to go back to step 2 and pair the two again (go back and start at step 2)… THAT IS NORMAL even in my expensive Heli’s. The two pair together each time you turn them on. Because of this pairing, you CAN FLY MORE THAN ONE AT A TIME and all the transmitters are interchangable. Yes, you can get one for each kid and they can all fly at the same time. We have 7 kids all flying at the same time in our neighborhood.

I ordered this from amazon because I found this in my local mall but the price was here was unbeatable. These are very fun and entertaining. So entertaining in fact that I ordered one for myself. It came right on time and in prefect condition. I recommend this to anyone who wants to have fun.

Great quad in a cage!

I love this little cage quad. It is not snappy like other small quads I have, but it's also not broken! The cage is flexible and will handle a good drop. My 9yo son loves it and flies it inside and outside. It's fun to roll it across the ceiling, or down the wall.
